Hi. If the info helps, on 1.7., on the route Tamar-Kotovo sedlo - summit there was still a snowfield in the gully between little and big Jalovec, and then another snowfield towards Špička, at the junction to Goličica. Crossing both was very demanding then.

On Saturday I went from Blato over Vratc to Prehodavci and then down the valley of the Triglav Lakes to Črno Jezero and to the starting point. One snowfield is under Vratc - with a bit of skill it can be bypassed on the left. Between Vratc and the junction for Hribarice there is a steep snowfield about 50m long, which is hard to cross just with summer footwear or it looked risky, I'd say winter gear is needed. Then uphill towards Hribarice I don't know, some snow patches were visible from Prehodavci.

Alyas, congrats to both and thanks for pics. How much time is approx. needed from top of Laška Planja to Mali Kanin? Could you please describe in more detail the part between Črni Vogel and M. Kanin, especially regarding that notorious II. degree I read about on the forum, and also a description of some more critical spot? I see the rope, you didn't need it... best regards

Viharnica: to the hunting hut you went correctly, there you had two options. First, as you described, turn right onto the muddy road, but soon (after 100m, I think near the hunting observatory) then left up the slope (across a small clearing - now in the snow it is trodden and you should find the path). There you will soon reach a cart track and follow it steeply uphill for about 15 minutes. Then at the top the cart track levels out a bit, and the main path goes towards Poljska planina (one marker is visible, no signs), but you must turn sharply left there - the problem is there are no markers, but there is a path. The path is then very moderate to the top. The second option is to go left ahead from the hunting hut, and soon the path branches off to the right and you reach the same path as in the first variant.

Hi, yesterday I tried from Tamar to Jalovec over Jalovška škrbina. At the top of the scree, left of the glacier, there was still so much snow that I couldn't bypass it via the narrow crack. In my opinion the only option is to ascend the glacier with full winter gear to the start of the secured path, then somehow with a rope do the vertical descent (5-7m) down the smooth glacier wall into the crack to the wall.... I preferred to turn back and go over Kot...

Vevnica: could you please provide some additional information regarding the difficulty of the passage from the snowfield to the wall? Is full winter gear required for crossing the snowfield?
