Krma - Planika - Triglav; on Friday it went without crampons, but I didn't go over Kurica (there's a substantial snowfield there) but a detour towards Kredarica, then before the start of Kalvarija left to Konjsko sedlo and then on to Planika. To Planika there's more than 10 m of snow, but it wasn't problematic. From Planika to the summit the snowfield is only at the start, when you have to climb the first 20-30 m. Snow is soft, so crampons aren't needed, ice axe in hand just in case. Then the individual remaining snow patches can be bypassed...

Yesterday up from Krma direction. To the top both from Planika (via Mali Triglav) and from Kredarica fully dry (approach from Planika crosses maybe 3m snow patches, but overall non-problematic and no gear needed except boots. "Problematic", especially for less experienced from Krma, is perhaps Kurica. There remains a somewhat larger snowfield which needs to be crossed or bypassed on the left side - I watched from afar some individuals yesterday who pondered for a while how to tackle the snowfield and even then on the bypass over rocks didn't look fully confident. For less experienced I'd still advise from Prgarca onwards choose Kredarica direction, avoid snowfield under Kurica and then head towards Planika (to Konjsko sedlo) later via valley under Kalvarija. Altogether maybe 20-30 min longer route, but without any problems. For more experienced with ice axe, snowfield under Kurica is no issue.

Hi, a question for the upcoming days - I plan to go to Kredarica on Thursday afternoon and then early Friday morning to the summit. If anyone was up there these days - what's the path to Kredarica like (track?) or how much sinking can I expect in the afternoon hours? Regarding ascent to the summit or expected snow conditions - is there still enough snow or already more icy/rocky on some parts? thanks!
