Not from today...but 2 weeks ago few mins past 6 still got spot. Maybe last one, since 3 before me turned back...probably less skilled at parking...
Weather forecast then probably less optimistic than this weekend.
Anyway one from today...met Croat at Koča who said was 5.30 before ramp to Vrata. Red light - full. Buses apparently after 15.9. no more. (didn't check).

You have to do as I often did thirty years ago in the Soča region (Bavšica, Možnica, Koritnica,...). In the evening drive there, provisions and drinks in the car, sleep in the sleeping bag next to or inside the warm car and in the morning start the hike at such an hour that the sun catches you high on the slopes

My contribution from today's tour Vrata-Luknja-Plemenice-Triglav-Kredarica-descent via Prag.
Last year this tour didn't succeed for us, so it was an imperative for this year. The wish was vacation and weekday visit, but since options are limited, we still decided to "risk" the weekend. It would be a shame to miss this weather.
At the ramp at 3:45, still 58 spots free. Roughly by license plates I'd say at least half of the occupied spots are by foreigners sleeping in nearby huts. The difference fills up quickly on such a day... With a perfect weather forecast it was not to be expected otherwise. Huge number of tourists from CZ.
Towards Luknja many hikers overtook us... I think all of them. . Despite that, we were at the saddle in 2 hours, which is not a bad time. Obviously there were only tough guys on this path today.
No crowd in Bambergova and we were mostly alone. It was great!
The situation with speed gets a dramatic turnaround up on the ridge . Expected, waiting and waiting, abnormal crowd. It seems to me if tourists had a bit more awareness of the situation around them, it could go a bit smoother. Plastic example: if you've created a 20m queue behind you, at one point step aside a bit and let people pass. But some simply don't get it.
The path via Prag flawless. For my taste, one of the nicer descents.

Nice day ahead, I suggest Krma, save 20€, and avoid the icy rocks. I advise against Triglav.

Yesterday I visited Aljažev stolp. From Krma via Planika. Morning is frozen, during day sun melts snow. Shady sides stay frozen. To the top I went with crampons and ice axe. Very slippery and steps are icy. Otherwise boots with good profile necessary.

Trobec, bravo for the ascent to Očak and skiing from Kredarica, still not that simple, especially with different types of snow

Hard to believe how much snow it cleared. We had much much more of it on the way to Zeleni vrh. Anyway, congrats to all three for the trip.
