Thanks everyone for advice. This weekend on Šmarni, later also on Gradiška tour, to see how I manage. For "test" Hanzova seems too exposed to me, so I think these two enough and if no problem here then easily try the others listed. I'm going to Triglav with boyfriend, but he takes all so easy like walk on Pohorje, doesn't want to use self-belay gear even, but experience-wise same as me - only doesn't fear heights and no issue for him. So option some colleague comes along or with some club, guide... Depends how I manage now on easier paths.

Triglav, protections and fear of heights
Hello,

after long and decisive consideration I'm heading to Triglav in summer and given that I'm not best friends with heights I'm curious about the protections on the route, since as long as I'm clipped in and feel secure it's not so bad. I know there are many different routes and I'm interested which is most suitable so heights and drops don't cause me too much trouble. Suggestions? Also curious if I can always clip in at "critical" points or if some sections have only pegs?

Fitness-wise I'm prepared so no worries there. Also not planning to rush to the top but take a few days to enjoy the route too. Lots has been said on this but still no concrete answer on route protections and which is best.
