Hi. We're on vacation at Bolfenka and would like to "move" to Rogla by car, so I'm wondering which route is most suitable from Areh to Pesek. Google offers quite a few. The shortest one goes under Klopni vrh. Is it driveable by car? If not this one, maybe another. Thanks

The trip is done. We successfully drove the route under Klopni vrh. At one spot right under Klopni vrh there's a ditch across the path, so passengers got out to cross it, then it went fine. These Pohorje forests are beautiful. On the way back via Dom na Osankarici.

With friends for the path from Socerb to Sočerga via Marčev hill, Zjati above Podpeč, Kuk above Movraž then to Movraž and to St. Kvirik, from where we descended to Milan in Sočerga we needed a whole autumn day. Memories of beautiful views from the Karst edge are still very vivid after many years. Highly recommend.

For mountains and via ferratas I personally recommend one-piece (mountaineering) harness. The center of gravity or attachment point is somewhat higher than on one-piece harness meant for sport climbing. Since in mountains we carry backpacks too, with higher CG less risk of flipping head down on fall. In some book on safe mountain paths I saw even pics of injured mountaineers who fatally crashed on fall.
