Between Vršič Lopatnik and Krnčica no snow, didn't go further, but given hot weather I doubt there's still snow at that height.

Today I went from planina Jezerca to Košutna and Kompotela, no time for Vrh Korena.
To planina Košutna, the path is without issues, dry, the rocky step before the pasture is excellently secured - new cable.
Snow started a bit above the pasture, I followed tracks to Košutna summit. On to Kompotela I had to wade a bit to the path from planina Koren to Kompotela. The track is well trodden, still gaiters and poles with baskets are useful. No crampons needed.

If you mean the road that branches off in Podvolovlek behind Bife pri Gamsu and goes past the Planinšek farm, then let me tell you it was passable yesterday without obstacles. Indeed, at the start of the road there is a sign for road works and prohibited for all traffic - but there was no construction site anywhere. The first kilometers of the road are freshly asphalted, so they might already be done.

Today I went on the path from the Dom in Iški Vintgar to the confluence of Zala and Iška, but returned along the bed of Iška.
Already at the start, I met quite a few hikers who told me that they had to turn back, as the path is impassable due to fallen trees. I didn't believe them and went to check anyway. Soon after fording the Iška and as the path climbs steeply, at the top I ran into a mass of fallen trees. It is not just a few trees, but by my estimate at least 50 trees down. With much effort, I pushed through this thicket anyway and I don't regret it, as a wonderful trip awaited me further on.
Otherwise, the path is in good condition, the cables are almost new, so I hope that the path markers of PD Krim will remove the trees soon. Until then, some notice that the path is impassable due to fallen trees would be very welcome.

I'm wondering if the štruklji in the hut are still as excellent as years ago?

From Višnja gora along the Path of Two Waterfalls over Kucelj and Gradišče
After yesterday's rainy Saturday today's trip was wonderful. Foggy and still rainy Ljubljana greeted me with a sunny morning in Višnja gora. I parked by the church and more or less followed the path description I found on these web pages, as one of the possible routes to Kucelj. For a while I followed very noticeable markings - yellow arrows, which I thought marked the Path of Two Waterfalls and only in the village Blečji vrh realized my mistake. These arrows actually mark the Slovenian part of the St. James Way. Of course I didn't accept missing the 1st waterfall, so I turned back, found the 1st waterfall, or rather a multitude of waterfalls, as a lot of water was flowing through the whole forest. Even more watery was the second waterfall (Kosca), the rain in the past days and warm weather that melted all the snow really provided a magnificent sight. The path to Kucelj and Gradišče is without features, no more snow, some was only in the valley by the stream.

Today on Kompotela from Planina Jezerce on Krvavec. Wonderful day, initially not much snow, maybe 10 cm, towards the top a bit more, especially in drifts up to 1 m. The path was trodden to the last junction. Snow is dry - powder, crampons not needed, but useful to have gaiters and of course poles. Back the same way. Gorgeous day.velik nasmeh

Today I was on Ojstrica from Planina Podvežak. Up via Mala Ojstrica, back past Korošica, Planina Vodotočnik and over Deska to Planina Podvežak. Wonderful views and full of flowers. No issues on paths, but summit logbook on Ojstrica completely full, last entries mid-June. Road from end of asphalt to turnoff to Planina Podvežak in pretty bad shape. But sand piles along road show they'll fix it soon. nasmeh

Yesterday I went to Kepa from Erjavčev rovt. I was worried about the road, based on Ljubica Š.'s comment that you need an off-road vehicle. But it wasn't necessary, as the road is in very good condition. Water has slightly eroded it in some places, but there was no danger of getting stuck anywhere. The safety gear on the path is also in excellent condition. Great caution is needed when crossing crumbly slopes, and a helmet isn't superfluous.

Thanks to you Viharnik and Ločanka, with your enthusiasm-filled descriptions of solitary paths, you enabled me to discover this side of Polhograjci too. I didn't manage to find the start of the ridge path to V. Babnik that Viharnik describes, but I persisted and bushwhacked through fallen trees and pathless terrain finally reaching the ridge path. Here it's really wonderful, pines, blooming broom, views to snowy KS Alps and of course, complete solitude. I extended the trip over Gontarska planina to Osolnik and back almost to Govejek. Almost because loud music was spreading from the hut from afar (Saturday of course), which I didn't want for the end of this trip. So I took a shortcut to the marked path to Legastja. Wonderful trip on a warm spring day will surely stay in memory long. I'll come back.

On Friday I was on Nanos, beautiful day with a bit of bora. Went from Razdrto up the steep path and down the gentle one, both paths still have some snow that'll melt soon. Hut was open, caretaker said it's open Fri-Sun until May. Uncleared snow in front of hut doesn't mean it's closed over winter, bora does its thing.
