Last weekend in that cold I went from Jezerc to Kompotela and also to Vrh Korena. Now conditions are probably quite different as it has warmed up a lot.
The path was trodden but not compacted and it sank quite a bit at times. It was not really enjoyable. Especially that part where you descend from Kriška down to the "scree" was quite nasty on the return.
From Planina Korena onwards it still sinks for a while, but towards the saddle on the top less and less. On the saddle and further towards Kompotela and Vrh Korena it is quite windblown, icy in many places, so crampons are obligatory.
Regarding avalanches - the upper part did not seem problematic to me, that traverse under Zvoh has already been avalanched from before. (but that is no guarantee that nothing else will come flying)
