Hi. Wonder if anyone was up there in the last days from Kamniška Bistrica. Curious how much snow on the path or if small crampons enough or need big ones.

Yes I had something similar but Grivel doesn't seem any more curved to me. But it's great that it has an auxiliary loop on the shaft so you can keep the ice axe attached all the time

Steeper couloirs I can't define more precisely than that you can climb up without vertical climbing. Just that you can hold on with one ice axe, but I think sooner or later I'll go for something steeper too

I'll use the ice axe mainly for help on ascents in steeper couloirs. Vertical climbing doesn't interest me yet. A few times I had a rented ice axe (completely straight and curved models) and partially curved models were much better for me and especially more usable on steeper terrain. But I haven't had a Quark yet to know how curved it is, that's why I asked.

Deciding on buying an ice axe and currently have in narrow selection:

-Petzl Quark
-Grivel The Light Machine

Would ask for opinion and recommendation if anyone has experience with the mentioned ice axes.
