Kamniško sedlo

To avoid possible trouble with traffic wardens, I suggest leaving it at the parking lot two hundred metres above the hut, where the hiking trail starts. In case of thawing, hurry on the section of the trail below the ice candles.

It's already been a good month since the last visit, I connect today's visit with the traditional memorial 'Smučka in cepin', which is dedicated to the memory of the PD Kamnik members who ended their life journey in the mountains.
The no-driving sign below is turned 180 degrees, so without a bad consciencezmeden, I drive past it and park at Jermanci in the bend before the same sign.:jezen . There are four more cars there, which suggest to me that there will be at least some visitors in the hut. Snow starts a little below Pastirci, already a little higher there is so much of it that the dwarf pines are under it. The crampons remained in the backpack, apparently I was terribly slow, as I didn't overtake anyone to the hut. For half an hour I occupy a place by the stove, chat a bit with the visitors, I was most happy about Bojča - an alpine legend. I don't go to the ridge, because the wind carries the snow so much that it can't even be seen from the hut. On the return I meet at least twenty people.
Immediately a comparison with Jarški dom, which is 300 meters lower, came to mind...1

Hello.
I'm interested in the conditions today at Kamniško sedlo?
Can one go up in gojzarji or is it mandatory to have crampons?
Thanks.

Hi Rokf8, I went today in La Sportiva running shoes, the "crampons" stayed in the backpack. I went to the edge, no problems.

Hi!
Is the road to the parking lot at Jermaci already in use? Is there still a sign in the valley prohibiting driving?
Thanks for the reply

Hi, I was there 14 days ago and the road is in use, only I parked down below before that infamous bend, so I extended the path to the saddle by about 2 km. I got away without a fine nasmeh, I think the sign is still there.

Usually they remove it when the winter season ends, i.e. 15.3. I haven't been there recently to check if the "tradition" still holds nasmeh

I was there on 8. 4., and the sign was still threatening with a ban.

This sign should get its own thread, so much is talked about it throughout the year velik nasmeh

I'm interested in how it is now with access....up to where it is possible with a car.

On Saturday I went with a regular car to the parking lot at an altitude of 910 m at Jermanca, but it would also be possible to go further to the parking lot at around 930 m, where there is a sign prohibiting traffic. At one turn (sharp left turn at around 820 m) the road was in very bad condition and I barely made it across. When those holes deepen a bit more, in my opinion it won't be possible anymore with a regular car.

To the end of Logarska valley and to Jermanca. The first is payable, the second is punishable. (if you go too far)velik nasmeh
