Today I was with my girlfriend on Stol. Up the Žirovnica path, down the Zagreb path making a nice loop. In the gully between the two Stols quite some snow, but it's southern and can be bypassed with some skill. The day was perfect for visiting the king of Karavanke, wonderful views and accordingly quite a few hikers.
But I'd warn that the macadam to Valvasor hut is in very poor condition in places, so if you don't have an off-roader go slowly so you don't damage your steel horses
