Choose the direction yourself, if from Matizovec you have a bit more ascent, and walking towards the sun if you go in the morning (which doesn't mean this direction is worse), just decide based on your interests and abilities. The thing takes roughly about +- 4 hours.

The road to Kot is normally drivable, only the sign is still there.
That's up to the individual whether they follow the sign or not.

Today after many years back on Stegovnik. Read latest path reports but still didn't expect path between Močnikovo sedlo and window currently so demanding. Sure if you know directions to follow you'll probably manage obstacles, but tons of fallen trees, other parts poorly trod or heavily overgrown so constantly hunting passages and marks to not stray off route.

And one more path impression... where's this marker leading me
