Alessio, Slovenes who like to go to the Western Julian Alps and Carnic Alps are happy that on the Slovenian mountain forum there's someone who knows the conditions over there well and informs us in Slovenian. Most Slovenes know only the word “birra”, “Salve” somehow doesn't come out of their mouths and neither does “Good day”, so no mistake.

I also request info on by what time in the morning from the 7th to the 8th month you need to be at Passo Tre Croci to get a spot along the road.

In Italy it's payable like anywhere else. The Sexten Dolomites are payable practically everywhere, Passo Giau is payable, Passo Pordoi,... Parking by the road at Passo Tre Croci is free only if the local police don't come. Italians plan barriers for traffic passes. If in Austria there are parking lots at moderate prices, a toll is paid on every pass. In the direct vicinity across the border, I don't remember any pass that is not payable.

Based on the following (source RTV.slo) I understand why the PD leadership wrapped itself in silence. Why energy renovation of the hut which is not even open in winter? Association members discussed at the general assembly also the findings of the audit of the Koča pri izviru Soče renovation project, which due to price increase pushed the association into a difficult financial position. The auditor found that the entire investment was incorrectly managed and planned, prices much higher than market ones, economic viability of additional works questionable. Members who among other things wondered why the energy renovation of the hut was necessary at all if it is closed in winter, supported the proposal for the association to order an audit also by a court expert. In this way they will get an assessment that they might use in a future compensation claim against the contractor and works supervisor and persons who led the project.

mirank, I agree with greed of club presidents, about incompetence one could discuss. Example PD Jesenice and Tičarjev dom. Would be nice if only incompetence. Many such examples, just not publicly exposed.

Slovenian mountain huts have been in a wild privatization phase for some time. Suddenly nothing pays off (hello, huts full and with heavily salted prices), alpine associations powerless (why have them then?), and suddenly unprofitable (in worse times it didn't happen!!, it's true, back then there were no interested buyers for huts either). In summer I vacation in Lombardy (Italian side of Ortler). Huts owned by CAI Milano, keepers often whole extended families. Keepers organize guiding, know how to advise, ... Prices at Slovenian level. How does that work out in Lombardy? As far as I know, Italy is a capitalist state with not exaggerated social feeling
