A long-time wish to hike the entire Pentlja in one go has finally come true!😃
It was Saturday 4.7. at 5 in the morning, when at dawn I set off from in front of the Brezovica kindergarten. The first meters of elevation passed in a flash and after a few kilometers of flat, it was already time to ascend to the highest peak of the Barje, Plešivica. After the descent, again some pleasant flat and I arrived in Podpeč, where I refilled supplies and past Jezero ascended to the beautiful view from Sv. Ana. Then ascent towards the highest point of the route Krim, where I treated myself to the first proper stop. Time: 5h40min.
After refilling supplies descent, passage over Rotovec and steep descent into the gorge of the Zala and Iška rivers. Wonderful peace, nature and much-needed cooling in the river to reset body and head, because immediately after that I was awaited by the ascent to the Osredek farm, another descent to the Zala river and ascent to Rakitno. After a short break by the lake passage over Novaška gora and Smrekovec and a rather boring descent, mostly on forest roads to Ponikve, where the stamp is a bit hard to find and I had to go back. Followed by the penultimate ascent to Žalostna gora, where the stamp was missing. After a few kilometers of running on the main road arrival in Podpeč and further on the flat at sunset to the last peak Veliki vrh. Descent and the last few hardest kilometers on asphalt and at dusk arrival back in front of the kindergarten. Time 22.16h.
At the end exhausted with many blisters, but very satisfied.😃
