Hello also on my behalf!

Since I'm not exactly a big mountaineer, I'm turning to you here too. This coming Friday, my girlfriend and I want to head to the Triglav Lakes and I'm wondering if this weather is still okay for such a trail? Fitness and will are not a problem, given that I don't hike mountains that much, I don't know if it's worth it or if one can "safely" go on such a trail at the end of September given that the forecast isn't really sunny and warm? Which trail do you recommend for such weather? Is the hut still open, because we'd sleep there too?

Thank you kindly

These tables and hours that say how much more to where, in my opinion you don't have to take seriously... it's probably some average walking... you can be faster or slower... anyway I enjoy in the mountains and don't like looking at the watch... walking is not hard for me even 12 hours in a row but it doesn't make sense.. anyway thanks again to everyone for all the advice, because in the end everything was nicely and properly done...

Thanks for the advice, triglavski, but I'm curious why you think we got lucky and what could go wrong?

Since I'm a big adventurer, such a trip was right for me, but really the conditions weren't great... anyway, the first day, the last 3 hours were quite adrenaline-packed....

Regardless of guides and maps, I still think paths should be marked more often... if every 500m on every stone it says 7J, it could say Dolič too...

Spominčica, this white horse is pictured on the way to Vogar, maybe a bit past Vogar... if I told you it's from Dolič, you wouldn't believe memežikanje... I think this little horse is quite enough without princesnasmeh

Yes, Katjuša, the trip was super and tiring too...

Maybe later I'll add some more pics, but there are tons where I'm one with nature and mountainsnasmeh

Sorry... I saw it just now when you told me. Hope it's ok... some interesting pics.

How can I show some picture, spominčica? Send via email or how to attach here?

Hello again!

The trail is behind us now....

Where to start... with the weather, which the forecasters predicted completely opposite to what it was for the whole of Saturday and part of Friday...

At the start of the trip, there was a small mistake because we drove further to Vogar instead of turning to Planina Blato... after 11 km of driving (the last 4 km catastrophic), we arrived at a small spot where one car was parked and the signpost pointed to the path to Viševnik... so we parked it there... the path to Viševnik was very steep from that side but all the more wonderful; at the end of the path, we met about 100 sheep and the view of the Viševnik plateau was wonderful... below was the shepherd, who explained to us in a very friendly way how to take a shortcut to Dedno polje so that we did not have to make a detour to Planina pri jezeru, where we were supposed to arrive from Blato... at the same time, he told us that we were lucky to have missed Blato because of that we came via the wonderful path to Viševnik... from Dedno polje, a wonderful path awaited us over Kopica... the path ascended and everything was getting nicer and nicer... the path led us to Vratca, where there was a wonderful view of the neighboring peaks and the fog and black sky in the distance over Prehodavci... up to here the sun shone on us, then further snow and fog... the path over Hribarice was not too tough but not easy either, at least not in that weather... it is true that it dragged on to Dolič, and when we spotted the hut after the descent and turn from Hribarice, we could hardly wait to warm up because we arrived there at 18:15... so the path took us about 8 hours with all the stops for photos (over 200) and enjoying nature...

At Dolič, only 9 of us slept over... some wanted to head to Triglav the next morning, but the conditions were very bad... very strong wind... quite a bit of snow fell overnight (over 30 cm in some places) and very cold weather (quite a few degrees below zero)... we headed again over Hribarice, where there was a lot of fog and wind... but it was a slightly better feeling because we met about 10 people to Prehodavci, unlike the previous day when we met maybe 2 persons... after getting through the harder part, we descended past all the lakes to the double lake... continued over Prode to Viševnik, where the host was very delighted to see us... inside the hut, there was a real partynasmeh.. 2 accordions... cheerful company, some kind of trumpet... we stayed 20 minutes inside, where they played a farewell song for us and we said goodbye... to the car 15 minutes before dusk... all in all 9 hours of walking with stops... lunch etc...

In short, the trip was wonderful, the weather on the second day was very bad... poor path markings..

For example, from Dedno polje to Dolič I noticed the Dolič sign twice, while 7J was written about 10 times... also when returning from Dolič, we apparently made a loop almost to Prehodavci past the lakes and then there was a sign at Zeleno jezero for Hribarice straight up 45 minutes, while we needed 1.45 h for that loop and when we were above Prehodavci we did not notice anywhere, say, 7J straight down, and so we made the loop accordingly and we were not the only ones... however, everything happens for a reason... that's why we went past all the upper lakes, photographed them and enjoyed nature... we met one chamois somewhere in the distance on one of the screes... for example, when we went over Prode, there was no sign anywhere for the path over Prode but it said Hotel Zlatorog, and if you don't know that you go over Prode there, you have to ask someone... also Planina Blato was not written when we drove to Vogar and further, but only Planina pri Jezeru... but never mind... the trip was wonderful... I'm still thrilled by the mountains, views, photos... this has to be experienced... really top-notch... we'll definitely return to the hills... if anyone is interested in some pictures, they can write me an email and I'll send some...

I could write and write and there would be no end... the new boots performed excellently... even better performed my better half, who excelled greatly and I'm really proud of hermežikanje

In short, thanks to everyone for all the advice you gave us... I know that next year I'll definitely go on another similar trip... maybe a bit less demanding, because we walked approx. 16 hours in total with all possible detoursnasmeh

Safe travels

So let's go... hope the weather is fine, likewise new boots hold up mežikanje... anyway hope for enjoyment, for the route we'll decide during the route itself, since quite a lot depends on the weather itself.... just that on Sunday it won't say here... they were taken to the valley by helicopter mežikanje))) a little joking mežikanje

Thanks everyone for all suggestions and help.
Kuba26. 09. 2008 07:38:14
I understand it too but only in this case, if the money goes to the right hands.. after all part of that money is probably supposed to go to Triglav National Park too...
Kuba25. 09. 2008 21:26:58
How is it actually now?

Is the parking fee collected already in the valley, and then at the top another warden waits and directs you?

And what happens if you go to the mountain so early and when you return the warden is still there? Does he let you out or spoils the nice end of the day that should await you?mežikanje
Kuba25. 09. 2008 15:57:56
And where else can you park it near Planina Blato so the parking fee isn't collected?
Kuba25. 09. 2008 15:56:27
How long is the first day route approx?

I'm considering going to Dolič....we'll seenasmeh
Kuba24. 09. 2008 16:45:20
Although this hut at Dolič doesn't give me peace...nasmeh)

What do you advise.. continue to the hut at Prehodavci and overnight there... then back down the same path or some other way... I hope it's not some too difficult paths....
Kuba24. 09. 2008 16:38:45
Hello again.... obviously the route will look like this

1st day: planina Blato - planina pri Jezeru - Dedno polje - planina Ovčarija - Triglav Lakes via Prode or Štapce - Jezero v ledvicah - Zeleno Jezero - Rjavo Jezero - Prehodavci and then back down to the hut at the double lake where we overnight.

2nd day: descent to Črno Lake, planina Viševnik - Pršivec descent to planina pri Jezeru and back to start.

Thanks everyone.. the route should look like this... maybe we'll change our minds and go somewhere else.. depending on feeling and weather...
Kuba23. 09. 2008 13:34:13
Yes, thanks guys, I found it on the net this morning... the problem is that the hut at Prehodavci is closed since last weekend... so we'll obviously sleep at the hut by Triglav Lakes and maybe do a round trip to Prehodavci and back and sleep the second day before the descent down... apparently they already have 120 reservations for the coming weekend....
Kuba23. 09. 2008 09:12:50
If I mention 2192 to the better half she won't even go to Prehodavcimežikanje

Viharnik you have to know we're not some serious mountaineers or rather she surely won't walk on any horrible trails if it's some harder path of course.... anyway we'll go to Prehodavci if the weather allows.... back I don't know yet... we'll see.... just not more than about 6 hours walking the second day....

Where can one get phone numbers for all these huts please?
Kuba23. 09. 2008 08:12:48
Triglav this description of yours is of course excellent but I think 11 hours of walking the second day would definitely be too much.

Now I'm thinking to go from Triglav Lakes to Ledvička then to the hut at Prehodavci (sleep there)... then somewhere else back so walking max 6 hours but to the starting point via other trails (at least partly)... does such a variant exist maybe?
