On February 8, Slovenian cultural holiday, we invite you to the traditional hike to Donačka gora, the 15th in a row this year. Control stamp for all hikers from 8 to 12 at the summit.

On Saturday 12.06.2010 the path from Rudi's hut to the top of Donačka gora will be renovated. I invite all lovers of Donačka gora to join us.

We inform all who intend to visit the source of the Sotla river, (Rudi's hut path Sotla source) that on one part of the path (see picture) the directional sign is removed and a fallen tree where the mark was drawn.

We politely ask all those who light fires on top of Donačka Mountain to clean up after themselves too.

This is how Donačka gora looks when it's being worked on.

I have to tell Marx that the path he describes is not the official path. That path from St. Donat's church through the forest to the top was once marked and very well. On the request of the hunting society we had to remove the marks because in their opinion the marks scared the chamois living here.
To Stanko I say that tomorrow I will go check where the beech fell and immediately notify Ptuj forestry.

The easiest route is Ljubljana-Jesenice, village Mojstrana then past Kovinarska koča as far as the car goes, park there. Continue through Krma valley to Dom Planika. Overnight there. Second day morning head to the summit from Dom Planika to Mali Triglav and along the ridge to Triglav. Definitely the easiest route....

If they're not at the top, then they're at Rudi's hut.
