In this thread we could debate about the weather. I'm interested whether you'll set off to the mountains for the first time tomorrow (4.7.2010), morning clear, afternoon thunderstorms—is it worth going to the mountains at all.
Normally I go from the starting point already at 6 o'clock. I get up there at 4:30.

Say, how to act if a thunderstorm catches us in the mountains, under a tree surely not, what about an umbrella, maybe some rock shelters....

I'm already packing and heading to the mountains, since in autumn I have much more time than in summer.

Mandatory equipment at least in my opinion for Triglav:

- good boots
- poles
- at least 3 liters of liquid
- helmet

For beginners the easiest path to the top of Triglav is from Krma, via Planika, I don't know other paths, this is enough for beginners.
