Does anyone have a good idea for tomorrow, for some two-thousander and traverse?

Maybe Raduha from Loke or Peca? Always a grateful target if snow conditions are suspicious nasmeh

Oh, that's too far. I'd go somewhere in Julijce, Karavanke or KSA but Raduha is far, I'm from Gorenjska.

In Julijcih above 1700 meters currently 3rd degree of snow avalanche danger is declared, elsewhere it should be 1st-2nd. Maybe you can go to Komna, then assess conditions on site?

What about Storžič? We were there yesterday. Don't know how skilled you are, but with a bit of caution it goes. Level? Max. 1.

Where to tomorrow when the forecast isn't very promising? Morning as it looks will still be OK weather, afternoon thunderstorms. According to meteo, first rains in the NW part of Slovenia only after 14-15 hours.

As the meteo showed yesterday, now (13:34) thunderstorms have already started appearing in the S part of Slovenia.

If you go early on such tours as Storžič etc., you're already home for lunch by noon..

I was already home at 13.00 reading a book by Andrej Stritar about KSA velik nasmeh.

Does anyone have a look at Stol, Begunjščica, Košuta, is there still a lot of snow, welcome some picture. What about daffodils, are they still on Golica after this snowfall? LP

hey LG, last year you looked out the window and explained to all of us what the snow conditions are like back in Storžičevem Žrelu, and determined avalanche danger via webcams - now such questions???zadrega

I mixed that up žrelo vs southern path, because I didn't know so many routes yet, mountains. Weather will be quite nice yeah still thinking where to go. Any ideas? Where are the rest of you heading?

Does anyone have an idea where to go for a shorter trip this Saturday?
- Somewhere in the eastern part of Slovenia, because there will still be sun there on Saturday.
- Ideally, if some hut is open or some other accommodation somewhere in the valley.
- Walking around 3 hours or so.

Thanks for the help.

Definitely nasmehBoč. Excellent choice. In eastern Slovenia definitely mežikanjebest choice. Many paths added. In conditions practically the whole described. Since time won't be much, I suggest the classic/circular route:
Starting point Zgornje Poljčane...up the described path...and continue down the Senčna path, also educational path no. III to mountain hut. There stop, snack, chat with nice locals...Descent on described path/opposite direction of course and circle closed. Just about three hours as desired...
Boč is beautiful, nasmehnice locals in world of Maribor, Celje, partly Ptuj...and that's it...
Wish you pleasant, sturdy and above all safe step. Expecting mežikanjereport...Best regards
Tower on Boča, the highest point of the proposed path...1

Mountaineers,

first, I apologize for asking about several mountains at once.

but do you think, given the conditions and forecast (especially Tuesday snowfall)
http://www.hribi.net/novica/snezne_razmere_2322015/1338
any of the listed paths on Thursday or Friday already at least somewhat trodden?

if the mentioned paths are out: which lower around 1000m hills with marked and hopefully trodden paths would you recommend in Gorenjska? Babji zob, Ajdna, Smolnik, V.Mizica, etc... Exclude Lubnik, Sv.Jošt (KR), Dobrča, Kriška g., Javorov vrh...

Thanks for help.

Draga - Poljška planina - Roblek will surely be trodden, as it's walked daily (Friends of Begunjščica). On Saturday surely walking from Mač to Kališče (if not much snow possible to extend path along ridge to Bašeljski vrh). And also - no avalanche danger on these paths
