Does anyone have any hiking idea for tomorrow in Julian Alps or Karavanke

Lots of options. Too bad tomorrow in Julians probably bad weather. Maybe Karavanke then. Where depends on conditions, experience and more. From easier ones probably Trupejevo poldne, Dovška Baba, Ženikovec, Plešivec, further east Peca and Uršlja gora. For more enterprising probably Begunjščica, Vrtača, Stol, Zelenjak, Palec, Veliki vrh in Košuta, and more but need to be careful with snow conditions. By the way tomorrow with friends going to check conditions in eastern couloir of Vrtača. Cheers, good luck.

We're going tomorrow for three days across Pohorje (Bukovnik-Sl.Gradec) where there surely won't be any crowds. Best regards and pleasant weekend ;

Hello. I'm wondering where to head these days (30.4.2011 / 2.5.2011), which hut in the Julian Alps is open for overnight stays. Thinking around Triglav Lakes and then a bit higher (around Kanjavca). Maybe Kredarica, is it open? etc. Any advice please. THANKS

Thanks! Hm thinking of Kredarica, has anyone been up there these days and around Kredarica. How are the paths in the nearby area? THANKS And by which path is it driest to get to Kredarica? And gear?

This weekend I'm planning to go to Pohorje. Wonder if anyone knows whether the hut on Klopnem vrh is open, since on PZS under the hut topic it says closed. Please let me know. Do you advise that it's smart to overnight there maybe, since planning to traverse Pohorje. Best David

Hut on Klopnem vrh is open. My girlfriend and I stayed there last Friday and we were very satisfied. The hut keeper is very friendly, the hut was recently renovated, so the rooms are very nicely arranged. Enjoy the hike across Pohorje

Oh it'll be nice, St. Martin's Saturday, my peak will probably be my head when I roll somewhere slightly dizzy . Yeehaaaa

Looking at the forecast, it'll be nice but very cold. I'll probably go to Karavanke or KSA.

More and more such in the mountains , "flex" them away, and it'll be nicer there again too.

Mikipi, who is this aimed at??

Mikipi no worries, I won't fall on my head in the mountains. Saturday's reserved for some wine cellar or hut for me, doorsteps there are usually high, might hook one . Weather's worth using for all who won't "ski" the same slopes as me .

Ok FLEKS, I don't judge such things, meant the mountains where those things really don't fit imo (mean rowdiness and insolence and...)
