Last weekend I was on Triglav. And besides good things I also have a bunch of remarks. First on the marked paths. I was up there years ago, but I don't remember everything and at two places I had to search for the path because it wasn't properly marked. I solved it with the map. Absolutely unacceptable to me is that there are so many fallen trees on the path and no one bothers to clear them. Paths around the trees are already clearly visible, so the trees have been lying there very looooong time.
With my girlfriend we arrived at the hut by Triglav Lakes at 13:50, then we take a break until 14:30. We see on the sign that to Triglav it's still 5 hours walk. We said, we can surely manage at least to Dom Planika, where by this logic max 4 hours, if the sign marks 5 hours to Triglav. I would like to see the hero who manages to hike this path in 5 hours?! Let that daredevil who can do it and wrote it on that sign report himself. When we reached the start of the path over Hribarice we met people who said they had 4 hours to the place we met (which we checked personally the next day), and we walked good two hours (normal pace). In the end we slept at the hut at Prehodavci, which we must praise. Food excellent!
On descent we also ran into paths that are several kilometers without markings. Even more, we found a sign that was misleading. Same direction both ways. These paths are very poorly marked. Obviously in old times a lot was done on this, now only for the cash register apparently.
The icing on the cake was when we saw you have to pay "for the path" to see the Savica waterfall.
Years ago when I was on Triglav, everything was without remarks, now things are obviously getting worse.
Otherwise we had fun and nice hike. It tires you a bit too. Praise to all people in huts who work there. Very friendly, helpful.
