Sunday, still in the dark I set off from Vrata towards Luknja. In the North Triglav wall three lights are shining, look at them, these were even earlier than me
. When the first sun rays embrace the summit, Luknja is behind me. Short break, I put on the harness (although after years of experience it's more unnecessary ballast than anything else..but better on me than at home in the corner, and it's useful to take nice photos securely attached
helmet on head. Path over Plamenice, for me anyway the nicest, protections flawless. I take time, photo chamois family that poses really shamelessly. I don't want to go on yet but they come behind me, bunch of German-speaking without helmets, without gear, two I see even without backpacks. Better me in front of them than them in front of me. At the top surprisingly few people, altogether I count 10..early hour. I photo the tower, who knows maybe this is even my last before they move it to the valley..(what monuments some erect for themselves, makes you want to puke). Slowly I head to Kredarica. Up there a crowd is rolling, most foreigners. First I meet a middle-aged couple, the man has anorak tied around waist, bottle peeks from pocket, everything they have is in pockets. A bit further I meet a family, father guards his about 8 year old child by holding his hand, you can see the kid is scared..the pressure almost blows my helmet off my head. On the fingers of one hand I can count those who are properly equipped who went to the top that time. At Kredarica crowd, I alone head to Staničeva hut, sleep there too. In the morning I get up at dawn, weather guys at Kredarica tell me it will hold somehow until 12, then showers and thunderstorms. So as soon as possible to the valley. At the junction Prag - Tominškova, I choose Prag, it starts drizzling, fog descending, clouds too, today will be colorful. After one hour descent I meet the first ascending and also the first properly equipped. Behind me some more descending, going slowly, rock wet and slippery, I descend the last pitches and in shelter of rocks two couples, guy's crampons dangling from backpack, only one has boots on, never heard of via ferrata..again pressure lifts my helmet..can't overlook..greet them they reply crisgod aha Germans..tell them they are only at the beginning of the path, thunderstorms forecasted, advise against ascent and suggest return with me..one lady is immediately for it, the other three persuade her..they'll wait a bit more, then decide, comes the answer..ok.. I head on alone. I cross Triglavska Bistrica when it pours, lightning and thunder joyfully, but I'm almost dry. After one hour at Aljažev dom, those who went after me arrive, ask if they met Germans and if returning..answer no, we persuaded but they went on.
Therefore full support to triglavski and his sharp replies and comments, obviously still far too little.
