Which types of snakes do we need to watch out for in the mountains and how to react if one bites us?

I have been to Krvavec several times by bike (pedaled from city past Apna, Ambrož to Krvavec) now I got a slightly better bike and I'm interested in some trail.(please write difficulty next to it, so I won't kill myself on first descent)

My dog has very sensitive skin so injures it often and limps even if not on sharp stones. At the vet got tablets that help healing so can get injections too. I think pad vulnerability depends on breed. LP

ogo, you have to get the dog used to the backpack already when it's still a puppy

By the way, does anyone know the easiest way to carry a dog over harder parts of the trail (e.g. some secured climbing path)? I went to Ledine through Žrelo and someone carried a German shepherd right under the armpit (I don't like that way). I have a medium-sized dog (Istrian hound).

A few years ago I was climbing a wall with a friend that wasn't protected and we had no gear, no forest rangers or anything. I was looking at butterflies when my friend went ahead. Suddenly he yelled and threw a viper past me (when climbing he grabbed it with his hand unknowingly). He was lucky it didn't bite him and there was no signal either.

I almost stepped on a slowworm. I was lucky it wasn't a viper. Can you meet a nose-horned viper in the mountains?
