At exactly the same spot almost exactly three years ago 4 of us got buried, luckily no tragedy. We dug ourselves out alone, no injuries, just very scared and without a pole. Unfortunately this time it wasn't so. Rest in peace and condolences to family

Super forum, all praise. Users are after all everywhere still just people and as such we all have our quirks.

Maybe a suggestion (if it hasn't been already?), to introduce a "report inappropriate content" button instead of minuses, which alerts the moderator. If someone abuses it, just ignore them. Like on mmc for example.

Ok I'm only interested in current conditions on the path to Kredarica and possible ascent to Triglav. Interested in hiking not ski touring...

No, if someone finds my pole at the top of the gully right of Snežna Konta Peak, I'll be grateful to him ;-). It has sentimental and some other value...

On 21.1.2010 three of us headed towards bivak IV in the late afternoon. Road to Vrata plowed to Peričnik (chains recommended). At 19.00 we started, after one hour reached Aljažev dom. Path trodden to plain above spring. From there completely erased, so due to fog we searched for a long time. In valley towards Stenar gates nicely drifted and hard, but very icy towards bivak. Since orientation too demanding and dangerous, turned around around 2.00 and slept in bivak in Vrata. Hope someone sticks a pole there where path turns right to bivak ;-). Still very nice little tour, for preparing harder situations.

We got to the top of Žleb, specifically on the right side, closer to Rž (I think a path joins there). The avalanche triggered under load when we were crossing left to the top of the snow cornice (altimeter 2320m). Then we turned back and luckily 3 Croats with us and later 5 Czechs.

The snowpack is dangerous in general, since in places without windblown more than 15 cm of completely dry snow fell. In my opinion it won't be safe on this path for a while.

To Krma by car is possible, snow more than 10 cm, but we drove through it first in the morning, then in the evening when snowfall stopped. Soon it will be skiable to the parking, for now the snow is still too dry and you hit rocks...

It's possible to reach the end of Krma by car. New snow from shepherds over 30 cm, higher more, lots windblown, slabbed from walls. Big danger of snow slides (one triggered at top of Žleb by snow cornice, luckily without special consequences except lost pole).
