Since the forecast for the next days is worsening weather with snow, saying dry rock climbing is over, we three old goats mid-week headed to the tour in Rio Bianco. Wednesday evening to Gorizia bivouac for beer and sleep, Thursday then to the route. The route is excellent, orientationally undemanding, look at the topo once and you won't forget it, rock excellent, almost no loose stuff, gear very good. All belays equipped, and on key spots in chimneys pitons. Of course some friend and own nut handy, but few spots for friends. Descent according to the guidebook, descent gully and ledge to wall base. I recommend the route to all experienced climbers wanting compact rock climbing ... some pics follow, as always mežikanje

For those who like Istria and Ćićarija, I'll give a detailed description of the path from Lupoglav to Planik and back ... We start the tour in Lupoglav at the railway station (we park the car here), and via Semić and Brgudac we reach Korita (2 hours walking). At Korita we have a mountain hut available (open on weekends and by reservation). For those who find this too much, it is possible to come by car to Brgudac village, from there cca 30 min walk to Korita. From Korita we continue to the top Škrljavnik (15 min walking) and further to V. Planik (1.5 hours walking from Korita). From V. Planik we first descend to the other side to the saddle between V. and M. Planik, and from there we start descending the forest road to the valley, cca 1 hour walking, before leaving the forest road. Then signposts direct us from the road first to meadows, then to forest towards Semić village, to there less than an hour walking. From Semić village we return by the same path to Lupoglav starting point, cca 20 min walking. Total cca 6 hours walking, 25 km and 1000 meters ascent. And the pictures already show the path description .... and don't forget, now asparagus season, so hurry, after the tour numerous taverns available ... fritaja with asparagus, pljukanci with asparagus and prosciutto, šuga with asparagus and sausages, etc, etc, yummy ... wink

Of course not, that's why I wrote it's misleading. If you write route is bit harder than slovenian then think of consequences too that some mountaineer will rush into it and rescue after first pitch... internet is fucked thing, post pics up and don't explain real difficulty, and next day line of repeaters rushing to route or hill cuz saw pics, and it's full cool and easy too... so bit responsibility in posts wouldn't hurt...

Super, congrats ...
but this misleading doesn't fly with me ... short german isn't walk (means can't walk it, gotta climb it), and that it's just a bit harder than slovenian, not true, cos slovenian 95% walk, german 90% climb .... bit less underestimating, all ok ...
Naturally, just my humble opinion ... and climbed german few times and know what I say ...
