Gregcs1, doesn't count, because you weren't neither first nor second in the team!

Rokson, that you must lead the hardest pitch applies to multi-pitch sport routes. Alpine ones are climbed cug-cug, alternately... without repeating hardest pitches

@Rockson: "What would the Alpine Commission say to a candidate for alpinist who climbed sufficient number of routes of appropriate difficulty as second in the team?" Ans: Grade IV means the route has overall grade IV (not III-IV, IV/II-III etc.) (source: KA) That means most pitches he would have already led at IV grade as first in the team Explanation: In alpinism routes are principally led alternately and not as second in the team, but this doesn't apply to "guide team", where the first in the team is qualified to do the ascent and the second basically just follows and belays him (example of such team is GV-guest, AI-trainee/MP/ST). Concrete example of such team a couple pages back... In alpinism it's important that you know how to lead the team at least at IV difficulty as first, meaning you'll move confidently in the crag at least 2 grades harder than the route you want to climb in the mountains... So if we return to Short German route you can't count it anymore as condition for alpinist... good luck and best

Zebdi, in reality alpine routes are climbed so that partners belay each other properly - when it's a rope team, of course. All other details are exclusively their matter.

Bravo Bojan! But it seems to me that you got a bit off-route in the lower part, since I don't remember such hard spots as on the first two photos, although I was there just a few weeks ago... wish you many safe tours!

Judging by your photos you're not exactly a noodle lover either, huh...?

Bravo guys! @mosovnik, these pics don't need descriptions. Anyway it's a matter of taste. Some enjoy clear broth. Pasta in sauce...
