I browsed through books, but couldn't figure out which little plant this is... Surely some "mountain" botanist here can help me. nasmeh

Haha, I thought it would be a bit too easy nasmeh
Yes, on the left lies Robanov kot, the ridge takes us to Krofička.

Eee, yeah, fog is there, under the fog lies... nasmeh
lesnik29. 11. 2010 18:33:34
Where does the ridge on the left side drop?
lesnik29. 11. 2010 18:24:45
Sitting on Košutica, the peak is Veliki vrh.

Devil's Bridge: http://bohinj.blog.siol.net/2008/10/22/korita-mostnice-in-hudicev-most/
(Look at the 7th picture.)

By the way, your bridge seems awfully familiar to me, but I can't dig it out of my head where I've seen it.

Viharnik and Tisa, are you sure that's the Devil's Bridge over Mostnica? zadrega

I'd go along and drive you there and help carry it, but I'm afraid there won't be time this weekend. Now in autumn the barrier below is open and you can drive by car further past the weekend hut, but I think it's too much of a load for one person. Especially if you fall and the plastic breaks... Believe me, I wouldn't want to spill the contents all over myself.

No sense speculating if he's dead, forgot it, or... Pointless! The photo is there so maybe the guy notices (very small chance), or those who maintain the path, or maybe landowners, piggies take it away. Tried to lift it myself, barely could, surely couldn't carry it down alone.
And yeah, so what if everyone photographs it? Hope they do, and stick the pic on the internet so everyone can see and think about how environment is cared for... Where the donkey lies, there it leaves hair, right?

Why someone carried it up there doesn't matter at all. By the way, I don't even think someone carried it up just to get rid of it. The point is, he could have TAKEN IT DOWN too, instead of plastic slowly weathering now...

Stegovnik wasn't exactly basking in the sun today, at least not in the morning... Started a bit above Kaninonir, then over Močnikovo sedlo to the top, then through the window and back towards Močnikovo sedlo, but before the saddle descended to the road and past the hut back to the car.

Very little snow, only in the summit part, but still enough that roots covered with it slip properly, so caution on those couple of somewhat exposed spots isn't superfluous.

When I turned behind the window towards Močnikovo sedlo and sitting among wonderful rusty grasses looked up to the ridge it even cleared a bit, but soon after seeing the mess it darkened before my eyes! jezen Who had the genius idea to drag a battery up there and leave it???

I quickly skimmed through this list of names and would like to add my little peep mežikanje I'd like to emphasize the difference between "naming after something, i.e. the origin of the name" and "similarity in naming". Concluding that some hill/mountain/peak/... is named after a certain animal just based on name similarity is quite naive...

For example, Svinjak is not named after a pig, as people generally believe, but the name Svinjak comes from Svitnjak, and the latter arose from the observation that in the morning at sunrise the peak shines among the first... nasmeh

Just for thought, for a precise analysis one needs to consult some etymological dictionary.

Dleskovska Plateau smiled in the sun all day today and together with the peaks of Grintovci majestically looked towards the foggy haze in the valley...

Start of the path at planina Ravne, over planina Polšak to Križevnik, then over Poljske device to Velika Zelenica and Veliki vrh and descent from the latter past Dleskovec back to planina Ravne.

Snow is only here and there in small patches, mostly just for show, the biggest patch is in the lower part of ascent to Velika Zelenica, but here it stayed slightly frozen even during the day and just suitable for ascent. More than snow on the ground is larch gold nasmeh

Wonderful, GITA nasmeh Yes, now, off-season, up there is real peace. For me too, Mala Tičarica is one of the early tours, and I also first saw edelweiss right on the ascent to it. I remember well how I made a little stop when I wanted to photograph them. zadrega
