Vrata at this time, when the sun doesn't shine inside there all day, aren't exactly the best choice, because we go from foggy valleys to enjoy the sun. As for snow, there's quite a lot on Luknja. Definitely spring is best for that part, of course when we can drive at least part of the road, and even then best with skis and when no avalanches roar over Stena.

I went years ago from Peričnik to the source of t.bistrica in winter, there really wasn't much snow, don't know which month, maybe early spring. Didn't go further and since I like winter idylls I decided to peek a bit higher. Of course around 2000m it's a bit different and conditions completely different than in the valley. Thanks Igor for the warning, best regards and take care.

I have to correct myself, I looked up photos from previous years and found the mentioned hike, but it wasn't in early but in late spring, specifically June 5th, which is a significant difference. Best regards

Tisa! The shots are OK. But that's not spring. Go on a winter tour there, where the morning sun already warms you. Regards

In any case I'll follow your advice at the first opportunity. The photos don't refer to my text. I took them in October this year, first one elsewhere, the other two on the path below Triglav's north face. Best regards, otiv, and good luck
