All honor to the enthusiasts who put the museum together. But it's clear they were left to their own devices and the museum profession didn't help much either. As a fan of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps I'm disappointed that nothing about the rich history of mountaineering in that part of Slovenia is represented in the collection: e.g. about Johannes Frischauf, Fran Kocbek and other men who did a lot to build Slovenian huts in our mountains as a counterweight to the German ones and marked the paths with Slovenian signs. In the overview of the worst accidents in Slovenian mountains, the worst accident in GRS history isn't even mentioned, when in June 1997 five top Slovenian mountain rescuers died on Turska gora. I hope they fill such gaps in the otherwise very interesting museum collection in the coming years.
