AO Bohinj is free, but it's true it's a bit hit or miss....
I did AŠ in Kamnik myself and gained a lot of knowledge. It's true though that I came to AŠ well under twenty and our school had over thirty members, of which three, at most four, remained, because most were older folks who wanted to learn mountain movement not climbing, and the price was very affordable for them (under 400 € I think....). So I support the guy in that decision, because for learning mountain movement you have guides and other courses. Oh and the prices are appropriate for what they offer in Kamnik, nicely divided by years
If someone doesn't see themselves here or it's too expensive, I wrote at the beginning, AO Bohinj has free, and day trips aren't expensive either....
