"You can't go to Morež", once said an old Baušnčan. Then Henrik Tuma wandered into these parts and turned everything upside down... of course with the help of two locals. We two tackled it today quite "Trentar-style".
From Baušce we went to the Bala hunting hut and a little above it turned onto the hunting path that serves as supply route to the salt lick. From the salt lick onwards pathless. We successfully avoided scree and soon found ourselves below Konjska škrbina. We met two stone cairns that showed us the good direction to the wall. I won't describe details towards the summit, caution recommended to each one who attempts it.
Today despite sunny weather we had quite wet grass even on descent.
Enthused by today's tour and for conclusion I'd add just: " If you can, you can go to Morež" mežikanje

On the Edge, elevation 1313, with the popular name "Dreizehn dreizehn" is now marked with a unique memorial sign. The sign is located near the path leading from Kluže to the summit of Rombon. The Austro-Hungarian army already realized that there is a good view of the Bovec basin here, so they built an artillery observation post here, whose remains we can still see today.

Avalanches from roads in Bovec area are mostly cleared already. Mulatjeras that still serve as hiking trails after 100 years, will be buried for some time.
On one such from Bovec to 1313, three large avalanches fell. Crossing them is not difficult, but caution is needed, as on the night they slid, a lot of new snow fell on the mountain!

Yesterday there were real winter conditions. To Čuklo we already needed gaiters as snow drifts were locally over the knee. Lower part of scree under Naklo is bare, up top we made deep tracks again. Maybe useful to someone in next days mežikanje
At top of Nakla we saw that from Kluž direction only chamois and fox came.
All to top path quite under snow, north wind making drifts. Partly we went western ridge, usually more windblown in such conditions. This time not and we sank deep again. From windblown top descended marked path.
From Kluž direction first snow starts bit above džamija.

And with the girl?

Rombon has a trail.

Thanks for the correction.

This time we chose the starting point in the Alba valley. Along the nicely marked path 450 we first descended to the namesake stream, crossed it and continued on the preserved mule track in the cool of the beech forest. On a short flat section the mule track joins path 428, which leads from rifugio Vualt to bivak G. Bianchi. Markings on the Alta Via ridge path are renewed, but that's all they did. The narrow path on steep wet grass required attention at every step. A slight southwest wind was too little to dry the heavy dew and soaked ground. Due to erosion the path is very bad in some places. On the ridge under the summit, where Alta Via starts descending to the southeast side of the mountain, we climbed under the wall. Already the view into the wall tells us the conditions ... the summit is disintegrating more and more each year. With great respect for the holds we climbed to the summit. This time no views from the summit, but joy. After doing the abseil too, we decided to go back to the bivak via another - circular path. Alta Via doesn't let up further on either. Descent to Fonderis notch was equally steep and demanding. We could breathe a bit easier only 500m lower when we reached path 425, which is a well-preserved mule track. To bivak G. Bianchi it runs through numerous gullies under the west face of the mountain.
The demanding part of the tour was behind us, so we rested at the bivak. Snack with views to C. Grauzario was the reward.
To make the loop of the day complete, we went to rifugio Vualt and via forest paths to the car.

The path from Kluž is almost dry. There is still some snow in the Vršičev section and on the summit. From Zavrzelno, snow is on the northwest side of Čukla and in the Nakla section, as can be seen from the attached pictures. These were the conditions on 28.5.2016.

I'm not advocating my opinion but just providing information on names that are passed down from generation to generation.
Maybe some people even find such information interesting.
svicr10. 02. 2016 16:09:23
Obviously the field identifiers did not check the name with the locals. Locals know this elevation only by the name Na robu. If they checked in a cafe ...
svicr10. 02. 2016 09:28:30
Maps carry a lot! The locals have long called the location of elevation 1313 Na robu. Nearby there was also the Za robom pasture, which was abandoned more than 100 years ago. The term for the mentioned point that caught on after the First World War is Dreizehn dreizehn and it is the most commonly used. This term also gave the name to the SOCIETY FOR THE STUDY AND PRESERVATION OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR HERITAGE.

Darko, nice that you pay attention to the use of our unique mother tongue.

Today interesting snow conditions on Rombon. Good day after snowfall, snow very compacted and icy, with about 1 cm thick graupel layer. Snow starts at Starem utru (1600m). From Čukla on with crampons and ice axe. Up through Naku, down over "Wegu". Snow cover modest up to Rombon height, given all the recent precipitation in upper Posočje.

We drove the white gravel road to Gozdec. To Planina Gozdec the path is thickly covered with beech leaves. Pleasant to walk on such ground, but slips here and there (won't recommend crampons). At the ruins of the old hut we warmed up and took a short break. Continued on less known path – mulatiera, freshly trimmed to Jurijeva jama. Cairns guided us along the path. From the cave the mulatiera disappears and path following is more demanding. Gully below Veliki graben outlet is the steepest part. Some snow just below summit in gully, managed without crampons. There opens view to Prestreljeniške pode and Vrh Prestreljenika. Along the way viewed museum exhibit of double chairlift »Veliki graben« almost merged with surroundings. No news on it, just waiting for skiers. At »cgajnrci« nothing new. Brunarica with nice name finally condemned to ruin. Didn't stop at station D not to disturb workers. Works in full swing. At Škrbina below Prestreljenik everything clear about connection to ski areas on Laško side. On way to Prestreljenik summit some snow patches. Snow crusty. Light powder from few days ago still visible on north side. Just during our ascent helicopter rescue drill on glacier above Gilbertij. On summit wonderful views. So little white unusual for this time. Down to valley via ski slope to station C – Skripi and new road to start. In lower road part noticed red inscription on wall »JURIŠ NA KANIN« … obviously their assault succeeded mežikanje

On this section there are useful anchors and a short rope hanging over the wall. But I recommend using your own rope.

For strolling along the Loška stena ridge you need to take time and do it thoroughly. Usually I start from the east side and finish the traverse at Krnica Peak.
In December the day is too short for that.
