Hello,
has anyone recently gone through Plemenice to Triglav and what are the conditions?

Thanks for opinions, comments and concern nasmeh Always good to hear smart advice. We had full winter gear as always, used what proved best at the moment. Still, conditions then not so dramatic as maybe assumed and snowshoes did a good job (after all they have integrated crampons, solid teeth front and below - TSL 325 RandoEasy).
Besides, touring skier girl who went behind us successfully skied down, so that shows terrain conditions different from estimate. Not touring skier but think Turkish gully has rating for skiing III-extremely demanding mežikanje
In other conditions would use different gear and roped as needed.
All in all, excellent day and excellent trip to beautiful place. nasmeh
Best,
T!

Without snowshoes (in crampons) you sank deep into the snow so it was easier with snowshoes to hold the slope in those conditions. nasmeh Only the exit from the gully was icy (last 5m) so snowshoes were easier option for whole ascent. Anyway thanks for concern mežikanje
What's the recommendation for gully otherwise when no track and sinking deep into snow? Wait for snow to freeze for crampons to hold person or combine flatter part in snowshoes, final in crampons? -Please opinions.
Thanks and best regards. nasmeh

Hi!

On Saturday we were the first (us 4 and one dog) climbing through Turski žleb, later behind us came a few more hikers and one touring skier who also skied down through the gully.
Before the ascent we saw tracks of a few fresh avalanches so we figured the base had stabilized somewhat. We didn't go further to Rinke because the colleague had shoe problems.
Saturday pics here: LINK, ascent details on club site: Chrne Mambe

Hope it helps. nasmeh
Best,
T!
