Several people have already lectured me on this similarity between dog and human character, but I never agreed. Of course, it always comes in handy for some when they want to blame someone for some dog unpleasantness that way. Sure, it's the owner's reflection, right! Even kids aren't our reflection, yet we usually try much harder to influence them, both with upbringing and with example.

If we think that scoundrels need to be prosecuted and reported only when we ourselves are victims, it will surely seem strange to us that no one came to our aid. And it won't be strange, they'll just think like us: It doesn't concern me, since it's not happening to me.
