This happened to me on Thursday at the parking lot in Krma, front left wheel, I noticed it was loose only when I got to the highway, thought it had just come off, but it seems not. Ah, and the car is already quite old, and I didn't park wrong either.

They started stealing like magpies, both in the mountains and in the valley. At our Pržanju before my return home, on the day of the rain flood, at night gypsies carried away everything around the house. They even broke into the neighbor's house and took everything valuable, wallet with documents and even the car key. Next day the police checked the neighboring plots if the gypsy at least threw the documents somewhere. At ours by the garage doors they unscrewed the screws of the glass cover of the light and the bulb so it no longer shines. Good that the neighbor, who often doesn't sleep at night, yelled at the burglars through the window (unknowingly because she is schizophrenic) and slammed the shutter, so they fled. Now there's no more iron at the dumps, so they steal everything in a row. Lock everything and shut the windows at night, don't leave valuables in the garden.

I thank Dav Karničar who alerted the police and thus scared off the thieves who were breaking into cars one by one in the parking lot below Češka koča. Unfortunately some lost money, some of us got away without consequences.

Well that's a good sign for the police to be present more often at these parking lots...
In the past it was at least unimaginable to me that something like this would happen at mountain trailheads...

As far as I know this year there's a strong increase in car break-ins at mountain trailheads so warning to everyone, don't leave anything on the seats (in view).. Those two policemen you mentioned above were supposed to have 6 hours of work that day at Jezersko because there were so many break-ins....

For information and action: On 16.6. at the last parking lot in Koncu pod Skuto they took all the money from my wallet in the car, left everything else (cards, documents) alone. It's possible that I left the car unlocked, but so much for the honesty of hikers and a warning to followers in this otherwise beautiful end.

Nothing unusual unfortunately. I mean thefts and car break-ins. For several years in a row the same story. And more or less at the same places. They steal exclusively cash because even if the cops catch the thieves, prove that the money isn't theirs. During the break-in it's hard to catch them they're too sly.
Nothing else to do but leave nothing in the car. Nowhere! Don't hide anything they find everything! And if they break in anyway only comprehensive insurance if you have it helps so the damage isn't too big

Those who leave cash in the car should pin a note with an invitation on the wipers too!
That way at least empty cars will be safe from break-in damage.
I hope that some of them after a break-in at least asks himself why the hell he dragged a full bag of cash with him if he then deliberately left it in the glovebox or even on the dash??? And when I then hear the amount of stolen sums it looks like some go after returning from the mountains to pay for a new kitchen or at least a washing machine. God bless them

Does anyone know how it is with break-ins at the Zadnjica parking lot? Are they frequent? I'd leave the car there for a couple days. Otherwise nothing will be in it but still I wouldn't want hassle with the insurance.
