How can someone appear on a mountaineering website who is so nervously torn that he's incapable of respectful communication, who drives everything to the edge ...... who would probably even physically settle with some commenter if he could. Who forces you at all to open any thread under "general discussions", who forces you at all to read anything or even comment? Whatever bothers me in life, I don't vent on people and it doesn't even occur to me to send anyone anywhere. On Earth there's enough space for tolerant people and probably the whole universe is too small for the angry ones.

I owe Juš just one more explanation: that in the video is concentrated CS, which isn't sold freely but only police has it. I'm surprised how the army can have it since for military purposes it's forbidden by Geneva conventions. In free sale there's only very diluted CS variant. Ah, and CS supposedly doesn't work well on animals because it was developed specifically for human nervous system. For pepper spray I've also heard that you can get used to it (how I don't know, but some spray it right on their face? ) but I don't know why everyone underestimates it so much - even on other forums (self-defense, sports)... And I always say: try by buying a can of pepper (real OC, at least 10% - not fakes like PAVA and similar) and lock yourself in a room (don't repeat my mistake when the whole apartment was contaminated ) and trigger 2-3 sec. (away from yourself of course). Well, before you have to quickly leave the room, also open the window to ventilate. When you come back after half an hour it might be tolerable. Well and then try to imagine after all that you get it in the face. Although I repeat it leaves no consequences but it must be a very very unpleasant experience.

I once bought a car and under rear seats found a 70-80 cm iron pipe and 3 cm thick rubber of length 50-60 cm

I don't get what connection a hollow pipe (if it weren't hollow it wouldn't be a pipe) under seats has with car break-ins.

From general debate on car break-in problem you've gone to debating how to settle with burglars and violence. Disaster. Don't you know violence breeds more violence? Here everyone's smart (safely at home writing about heroism), in real world it's totally different. Real... Unfortunately.

Don't know if parking under Kurešček is already listed. Can add today's experience: broken rear window and two bags stolen with everything in them... Every lesson costs something, but sad that at such beautiful place amid awakening spring nature I had such ugly experience...

Jošt in Kranj has also been the target of numerous break-ins...

We've been going to Jošt for decades. We park down below or somewhere in the middle by the road and haven't had bad experiences. It's true that some people leave all sorts on the seats and invite thieves themselves.

Yeah let me add one location if no one mentioned it yet. It's Prtovč, specifically higher up from Lovska koča. They say they've been breaking into personal cars there massively. So I really recommend everyone park right in the village namely by the church.

Last year from the mine under Topla to Peč and back past the hut. When returning in the afternoon via the shortcut by the stream, about 50m higher than the car, I saw 3 quads on the parking lot, one kid was walking around the car and shading his eyes on the window to see better inside. When they noticed me, they quickly drove off. I don't have a sports car to check the cager, how many years. I never leave valuables in the car, but it's enough that they cause damage. Ruins your whole trip. Then I went to check the nearby farm and a quad was parked, didn't want to argue, would ruin the trip. They were locals.

Last week they broke in again at the parking lot for the trail to Jošt (via Sodarjeva). They broke a small triangular rear window and removed the rear seat. From the trunk they took a bag that the owner had put there before the ascent and covered with a tarp. It all happened in the middle of the afternoon with lots of daily visitors. Looks like they were watching her. It happens you see a couple of young guys sitting in a car waiting for something. There were some break-ins at the same spot before. sr

With a colleague we visited Kurešček on the way from work, so we didn't have hiking gear and hid our bags in the trunk. Thinking back now, I think we were watched. Hard to claim anything without proof though. But we got a valuable lesson - don't leave money and documents in the car and be alert to "tired" cars with passengers who don't look like they're there to enjoy nature...

I myself yesterday preferred to leave the car at the start of Sodarjeva, because at the very bottom parking there were two cars that seemed a bit shady to me, for such nice weather.
