does anyone know if there's a spring with water near Korosica? I'm heading on a tour Kamniška Bistrica-Kamniško sedlo-Planjava-Korosica-Prešedljaj-Kamniška Bistrica and want to save some backpack weight. Thanks for info.

has anyone recently walked the cross path from planina Predolina to saddle Čez Utro? Is the path normally passable or are there any landslides? Thanks for info.

In winter I would recommend ascent from Gozdec along marked path to old hut, then through basins Mali and Veliki dol to foot of steep eastern ridge and up it to summit (similar to summer route). Because upper snow ascent is steep and faces east sun softens it early in spring and increases danger of south snow avalanches. I recommend very early hour and/or slightly colder day like today. On slopes be careful due to cornices. Border ridge from Baban saddle has one more demanding detail in summer and I assume quite demanding there in winter conditions. If from Resia then from Baban saddle bypass border ridge via Pode and join Gozdec variant.

On Thursday 9.12 after snowfall from Planinci Hut on skis to Rinka Waterfall. To Logarska planina road is slippery and trodden (closed to traffic) further I was breaking trail. New snow (about 30cm) is dry, skis sink quite a bit (since snow didn't fall on hard base). Now with the trail it's much easier. At end of road total about 80-90 cm snow. Ice on waterfall is (still) very little. Met two with snowshoes. Descent also slow on skis along the track as it's gentle slope and lots of snow.
