The park of Valeggio sul Mincio has a different history from that of many other ancient Italian gardens. In fact, only in 1941 Giuseppe Carlo Sigurtà, a pharmaceutical industrialist, purchased a vast 50-hectare estate located in a hilly area with barren land, an olive grove and sparse trees.
