Asciano (SI) rises on a hill in the upper valley of the Ombrone river.
The small and rich journey through the center of Asciano begins in front of the basilica of Sant’Agata (11th century and modifications in the 1500s, 1600s, 1800s) where one can admire a Madonna with Child by Signorelli and a Pietà by Sodoma. Near the church is the Museum of Sacred Art which preserves a collection of 14th and 15th century works.
