Description: © CLAUDIO MORTINI - The urban structure of Paciano (PG), of 13th-century origin, features a fan-shaped plan articulated on three parallel streets connected by orthogonal alleys.
The village is enclosed within a 14th-century wall about 600 meters long, including eight towers and three access gates, the Fiorentina, the Perugina and the Rastrella. Throughout the Middle Ages, the village served as an important castle guarding the Perugian domain over the Chiugi territory.
