Cerro Negro or Pabellón is the highest peak in the frontal cordillera of Mendoza. It is located at the northern tip of the Las Delicias ridge, a region very little known to mountaineers. For years, its famous northern neighbor, Plata, relegated it to the background. Due to its long approach and the dominant and close presence of Volcán Tupungato, it still remains an enigma for many.
