Description: The Southern Patagonian Ice Field (locally known as the Patagonian Continental Ice Field) is the third largest ice expanse in the world after Antarctica and Greenland. It is an immense plain or plateau covered by eternal snows located at an average altitude of 1500 m asl. It is crossed by the Andes from north to south. It is shared between Chile and Argentina. This expedition consists of a journey of about 90 km traversing trails, forests, fording rivers, trekking with crampons and/or snowshoes, circumnavigating Cerros Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. It is, without a doubt, one of the most impressive trekkings in the world.
