Description: Hidden in the dense beech forest are the still extensively preserved remains of the once stately castle Waxenegg, which was built in the 13th century. In the mid-18th century, as with so many other castles, the roofs were removed to avoid roof tax, and thus the fate of this large castle complex was sealed.
