| The Alfenz is the main river of the Klostertal. Over a length of 26 kilometers, it flows from Stuben am Arlberg through the Klostertal towards the alpine town of Bludenz. Due to the extreme flood in 2005, the Alfenz floodplains were 'redesigned': Willow bushes and young grey alder stands have developed again on the gravel banks.
