Well, that was intense. Sandstone Peak is one of the most popular hikes in Southern California. But that's far from the insane climb that this was. We wanted to create our own ridge traverse between Tri Peaks and Sandstone Peak, so we set out on the Mishe Mokwa trail to see what kind of scrambling we could get up to. After a short trail run to Tri Peaks, we found ourselves on one simply epic ridgeline, scrambling, bushwhacking and climbing our way across with unparalleled coastal views along the entire traverse. The name 'Sandstone Peak' now has a whole new meaning in our book!
