Ski tour on 18.01.2016.

From Wimbachbrücke parking lot (637m) left over the bridge and immediately right to a smaller parking lot. Next to the Wimbach on a hiking trail about 500 meters uphill to the road leading to Kührointhütte. On it to the big left curve, there right off and uphill over the clearings or summer path. You repeatedly cross the FIS clearing, which is then used as descent from Gugel. Then the route turns south at a slightly overhanging rock corner into a gentle gully. Here leave the path and ascend through the wooded valley 280 hm up to the clearing. Following the clearing and left into the larch forest. At ca. 1700 m the clearing steepens markedly; here cross right out and reach Watzmann-Gugel via a wide left arc.
