Description:
Reaching Colere (Val di Scalve - Bergamo), we take the 'Via Carbonera' then follow the forest road which, alternating trails and ski slopes, leads to the first section of the chairlift (Malga Polzone). We continue past a section with protective nets until meeting, on the right, trail no. 404, marked on the ground and with a (broken) sign. Ahead of us is the most beautiful stretch of the excursion: the 'Val Conchetta', with the unmistakable shape of 'Pizzo di Petto' appearing in the distance. Continuing on 404, we reach 'Passo di Fontanamora', and keeping right we soon reach the summit of 'Vigna Vaga' (m 2332), heralded by a small cross. Fog covers the 'Pianura Padana' and surrounding valleys: it has already begun to rise up the mountain, obscuring 'Ferrante' and 'Presolana' and every other view. Return by the same route.
