Veľký Plešivec 484 m a.s.l.

The peak Veľký Plešivec rising between the villages of Čachtice and Hrachovište is part of the Čachtické Karpaty mountain subgroup. Part of the peak is forested, part is covered by steppes and forest steppes with rich occurrence of protected plant and animal species, especially steppe insects. Its summit offers a wide view into the Váh Valley and to Považský Inovec. In good weather and with good binoculars, up to seven castles can be seen from here, which once (together with others) guarded the Hungarian-Czech border in Považie.
