Description:
Cerro Escabroso is a summit located immediately south of the better-known Cerro Doña Ana, from which it is separated by a portezuelo. It is located in the sector of the quebrada del Toro Muerto in the upper part of the Elqui valley (IV region, Chile). Although our intention was to attempt both cerros, the wind and snow made us abandon Doña Ana to advance towards Escabroso, which is much less visited and therefore little documented.
