By car from Passo del Tonale, reach Ospizio S. Bartolomeo 1971 m and park, next to the hotel a trail starts that reaches the new Lago di Albiolo, for piste grooming, follow the trail among whistling marmots and zigzag up the grassy ridge called Alpe del Tonale, quite steeply. Then ascend east on steep grassy slopes, the flanks of Cima Tonale Orientale 2696 m to head towards a wide saddle between it and the flat crest of Cima Biolca 2662 m. Here we take left a trail that climbs among ruined barracks to reach the summit cross at 2696 m, beautiful panorama over the entire Presanella group, Val di Sole and Adamello group and Torrione d'Albiolo, ritual photos and return to the saddle.
