The hike to Toblacher Pfannhorn starts at Kandellen, a hamlet in the resort area of Dobbiaco in Alta Pusteria. The fraction is located in the pristine Valle San Silvestro at about 1,575 meters above sea level. It is reachable from Dobbiaco by taking the road to Wahlen/Valle San Silvestro and, almost at the end of it, following the signs at the next junction. The parking lot is near the Seiter restaurant.
