That's how I like to call it. Not because it's a natural ring circling only Monte Cavallino (Comelico), but because this long trail starts from Val Digon to reach Passo Silvella in Comelico. Ascends to Sella dei Frugnoni to begin the spectacular section of Traversata Carnica reaching Forcella del Cavallino at the foot of the namesake mountain. Traversata Carnica walks razor-edge between Italy and Austria, Filmoor Hutte one of the day's goals before descending through green pastures of Val Digon. Perfect ring with Monte Cavallino as rotation center.
