Description:
Known for a long time in the region and the subject of various popular legends, this cave is located in a fairly accessible spot and is very frequented by speleologists. It constitutes a Paleolithic archaeological site where finds have been made dating back fifteen thousand years before Christ. It is located at km 3 of the GIV-5217 road from Ribes de Freser to Queralbs, right next to the Hostal Rialb and the Núria rack railway. Through a passage attached to the hostel (fronton court) we can access the cavity. A rounded opening allows us to enter the large rock shelter that remains open just above the rack railway tracks; we need to go to the opposite side to enter the main gallery.
